The name "Society Nine" is an important one - I often tell people it's actually the first product we created.
Looking back in American history, there's no greater historical event in women's sports than when Title IX was passed (click to read some historical context.) For those who need a quick history lesson, Title IX states:
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
The passing of Title IX was a catalyst for female fighters everywhere - across all sports. That's what OUR society honors. It pays homage to the fighters before us, and the fighters now amongst us. It speaks to what the future holds for the modern female fighter - she is capable of doing absolutely anything.
Society Nine's mission is to support strong, empowered women who possess the fight within. We provide her with what she needs to perform at her best.
We are an exclusively inclusive community, and we produce modern training gear and apparel that empowers you and your fight.
We invite ALL to join our community, and to join this space.
It's important to us that every single person, especially women and LGBTQIA, feels empowered and welcomed in any of these spaces. It’s more than fitness.
You don’t have to look a certain way, dress a certain way, have skill or have no skill, to be “here” - in boxing or any martial arts; boutique studio or dojo, wherever “here” may be. Empowerment transforms people - and we are here with you, every step of the way, to support you in that journey to harness your power.
Whether you want to compete or you simply want to train for fitness to be your strongest and most empowered self, we are here to support you on that journey, unapologetically. It’s not about legitimacy with a fight record, your looks and size, and being “cool” enough to fit into these spaces.
We are here to welcome you, and to have your back in the journey.
Welcome to our society.
